St. Monica Rallies To Support Black Wall Street Honorees

"Maid's Day off" Celebration - May 27th, 28th 2023

Maid’s Day Off had been a tradition where people who worked in what was called “the South End” continued to shop in the Greenwood /District until outside forces - city codes, Urban Renewal, property acquistion, the university encroachment, and the locating of a highway in the middle of the business district ended it .

Black Wall Street Board of Directors President Jay Steward said “we are very proud to host this event honoring our elders”.
